Alright, let's get down to business. It's time you figured out your career game plan. Granted, we all know that life can throw us curve balls, and plans can change, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't still set goals for ourselves. You need to start thinking ahead, which means that many of you need to think about your education. Every week, this column discusses different types of educational paths. This week, I'm going to discuss ecommerce.
Ecommerce - A Career With Some Promise
Throughout the 1990s, the world saw a huge shift in how business was being done. With the advent of the Internet, people could buy and sell goods online, thus saving loads of money by bypassing the middle man. Today, ecommerce is here to stay and huge fields have emerged from this phenomenon. The ecommerce field is full of interesting and exciting career options.
Ebusiness Training - Where to Start
If you decide to get an education in ecommerce/ebusiness, you'll probably want to find a program that will introduce you to many of the different ecommerce subfields. After getting a taste of what is out there, you'll then be able to best make a decision on where to focus your attention. A good ebusiness training program will introduce students to web site marketing, ecommerce web site design, and ecommerce web hosting, to name a few subfields.
Don't Forget to Check Out Online Degree Programs
While searching for the right program for you, make sure you check out programs offered online. There are a number of top-notch distance learning colleges that offer ecommerce degree programs over the web. It makes sense that schools with an ecommerce business model provide quality programs in ecommerce.
